THE DRIPPYKISS AND THE KALLEBOO

page 1

About Kalleboos

Kalleboos are a green creature with 10 eyes that love to eat doorknobs. A Kalleboo is not the sort of animal you would want to have around the Drippykiss. Because Kalleboos love to eat young Drippykisses. They'll take hunk out of people too. And so you do not want to be around them.

About Drippykisses

Drippykisses are nice creatures. They have massive tails like a dragon's and they have wings to evaporate water and long necks to reach vegetation. Unlike Kalleboos they do not take hunks out of people. Or doorknobs. They have a purple body like a sea monster's, except more round. And if you get violent with them or if you get behind them they will lash you with their long tail. And if you get in front of them they will stick you with their antlers.

Now for the story. One day the sound of a rooster woke me, Raven, up. I did not feel like going to work and catching Kalleboos. But I had to.

page 4

So I got up. And I went to work. I told Jome, my secretary, that I was going to take a vacation to Drippykiss Lake.

"Can you do my job for the weekend?" I asked. Jome said "OK". And I was off to Drippykiss Lake.

page 5

There I saw Drippykisses kissing, and Drippykisses diving, and eating, and swimming.

page 6

And then I decided to go and lie down on the beach. Soon a huge Drippykiss leaned over me. And it gave me a big kiss! And after that I knew not to lie down on a beach with Drippykisses in the water because I had to get my towel and dry myself off. The Drippykiss had soaked me to the bone.

page 7

I decided to go diving instead. At the bottom of the lake...

page 8

I found a nest of seven Drippykiss eggs! I took the one in the middle. I caught some of the water in the lake and put it in my old fishbowl. I put some dirt in and I dropped the egg in.

page 9

When I was driving back from my vacation I held the egg and watched it and watched it and watched it all the way until we were home.

page 10

Then I put it up at my desk and looked at it while I worked.

page 11

One morning at work I found that there was a crack in the egg. That made me very excited.

page 12

The next morning when I went to work it was no longer an egg. It was a teenie tiny Drippykiss!

page 13

The Drippykiss needed protection from dangerous Kalleboos. So Raven decided to catch all of the Kalleboos in the town. How she caught them is she put a doorknob around a corner.

page 14

The Kalleboo went and got the doorknob, picked it up, and while The Kalleboo was stooping down Raven would sneak around the corner and put a net over it and take it to a place where they could eat as many doorknobs as they liked.

Raven and her Drippykiss lived happily ever after with many adventures!
